Search team

Search, AI answers and AI engines: one always-on team.

Sage leads search every three hours: rankings, drops, content gaps and decaying pages. Iris models whether AI answers would cite your brand, Vega keeps your site readable for AI engines, and Rook earns backlinks with original articles that wait for your approval unless you let him publish on his own.

What the agents do

What the search team does.

  1. Sage · every 3 hours

    Track and react

Sage syncs Search Console rankings or reads the live results page, flags drops, writes briefs for content gaps, rescues decaying pages and answers Iris’s requests.

  2. Sage · daily

    Go deeper every day

A deeper pass reads Search Console numbers, page-two queries and weak click-through, measures page changes against untouched pages and turns the latest site audit into tracked fixes.

  3. Iris

    Model AI answers

For each buyer question you track, Iris grounds in a live web search and models which sources a strong AI answer would cite, then asks Sage for content where your brand is missing.

  4. Vega · weekly

Make the site readable to AI

Vega audits what your site serves AI crawlers — llms.txt, robots.txt, sitemap.xml, Organization schema — and checks whether engines cite you for your category.

  5. Rook · daily

    Earn backlinks

Rook picks a tracked keyword you are not winning yet (page 2 to 5), writes an original article with one contextual link back, and publishes it through Dev.to or your WordPress blog, or hands it to your desktop app’s Agent Mode to post on Medium from your signed-in account.

  6. Rook

    Verify before counting

Rook reads the live page and finds the link to your site before he counts a backlink.

What you control

Search work you sign off.

  • Articles wait for approval

Every Rook article passes the launch gate and waits in Approvals unless an owner or admin lets Rook publish on his own.

  • Site changes are proposed

Vega’s files arrive as a change set a person approves, and an existing robots.txt is never replaced.

  • Check now

Run the team’s cycle on demand; scheduled work runs alongside the always-on loop.

  • Read back after publishing

Published files and articles are read back from the live site before they count.

Briefs for the queries you should own, plus rescues for pages that are decaying.

  • Changes measured

Logged page changes are measured against pages that were left alone.

  • An auditable AI visibility score

Iris scores your citation share against competitors and stores every source, labelled as modelled rather than an official engine ranking.

  • WordPress plugin

The MarketiQ SEO plugin publishes approved blogs with SEO metadata, canonical URLs, social cards and structured data, review-first or autonomous.

FAQ

What is the difference between SEO, AEO and GEO in MarketiQ?

SEO is ranking in search results, which is Sage’s job. AEO, answer-engine optimization, is being cited inside AI answers, which Iris models. GEO, generative-engine optimization, is making your site readable to AI engines with llms.txt, robots.txt, sitemaps and schema, which is Vega’s job.

Does MarketiQ show my real ChatGPT ranking?

No, and it says so. Iris grounds each buyer question in a live web search and models which sources a strong answer would cite through ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overview lenses. Only when your desktop app observes a real Google AI Overview is that lens measured directly.

Will Rook publish articles without asking?

Not by default. Every Rook article waits in Approvals until a person approves it, unless an owner or admin has let Rook publish on his own. Rook counts a backlink only after reading the live page and finding the link.

Do I need WordPress?

No. Sage, Iris and Rook work without it. With the MarketiQ SEO plugin, approved blogs publish to your site and Vega can propose missing AI-crawler files for approval; without it, Vega tells you what is missing and gives you the files to add.

How often does the SEO team run?

Sage runs every three hours with a deeper daily pass, Rook runs daily and Vega weekly. Iris re-models AI answers up to once a week when your brand or content has changed. You can also run them on demand.
