MENTAL MODELS TEMPLATE

Maturity ladder

A tall ladder with one rung per stage, for a post about levels of maturity from first steps to mastery — each page lights its rung 'You are here', the rungs below already climbed, with that stage's name and signs beside it, so readers find where they stand and what the next rung asks.

When the AI picks it

MarketiQ’s Creative Director favours the Maturity ladder for posts that teach, when the message is steps or a process or a list. It is built first to teach.

It reads each post’s goal and shape first, then its own words, the platform and the facts you have, and offers this template only where it fits.

Who it’s for

Any business. Nothing in it assumes what you sell, so the Director can offer it to a software company, a café or a coaching centre alike — whenever the post fits.

What it needs

Only your post. It is made from your copy and your brand kit — there is nothing else to prepare.

Rules the AI follows

Word for word from the template library. The Director follows the copy rules when it writes into the template, and the visual review checks every creative against the visual rules.

Copy rules

  1. Use it only when the post describes levels of maturity a reader climbs, lowest to highest — never for unordered tips, steps of one task or real ladders (their safety, a shop's stock).
  2. Each row is one stage, lowest first: its name and what it looks like (and what moves you up), from the copy.
  3. Two to eight stages; the cover asks where the reader stands, the closing line is how to reach the next rung.

Visual rules

  1. A tall ladder down the left edge, one rung per stage from the bottom up, numbered.
  2. Each stage page lights its rung 'You are here' in the brand colour, fills the rungs below as climbed and sets the stage's name and body beside the ladder, level with the rung.
  3. The cover shows the empty ladder beside the title; the closing page has every rung climbed to the 'Top rung'.
