MENTAL MODELS TEMPLATE

Iceberg waterline

An iceberg cut at the waterline, for a post about what lies beneath a visible surface — the cover shows the tip and the dark water, each page lights one layer further 'below the waterline' on a depth gauge with that layer's point beside it, and the closing page reveals the whole berg, so the reader feels how much sits under what everyone sees.

When the AI picks it

MarketiQ’s Creative Director favours the Iceberg waterline for posts that teach, when the message is a contrast (this, not that) or a list. It is built first to teach.

It reads each post’s goal and shape first, then its own words, the platform and the facts you have, and offers this template only where it fits.

Who it’s for

Any business. Nothing in it assumes what you sell, so the Director can offer it to a software company, a café or a coaching centre alike — whenever the post fits.

What it needs

Only your post. It is made from your copy and your brand kit — there is nothing else to prepare.

Rules the AI follows

Word for word from the template library. The Director follows the copy rules when it writes into the template, and the visual review checks every creative against the visual rules.

Copy rules

  1. Use it only when the post contrasts what people see with what lies beneath it — hidden work, root causes, layers under a surface; never for a plain list of tips.
  2. Each row is one layer below the surface, shallowest first, each with a short name and what happens there.
  3. The cover title names the visible tip; the closing line is the one action that follows from seeing it all.

Visual rules

  1. A waterline splits every page: pale ground above with the iceberg's tip, the brand's deep shade below with the submerged berg in bands, one band per layer.
  2. Each layer page lights its own band, marks it on the depth gauge down the right edge (−01, −02…) and sets its heading and body in the water beside the berg.
  3. The closing page shows every band lit from shallow to deep under the call to action.
